MAGAZIB
Ahmed Nosseir (b. 1957, Egypt) is a classically trained figurative painter. He started drawing on his iPad in 2017. A master of colors and contrasted lines, he used the tablet as a great – and clean – way to bring his otherworldly creatures to life.
Through the years, Nosseir developed and mastered an idiosyncratic ‘digital pastel’ technique.
He manages to process the raw quality of analog fingerprint dirt into digital stuff. And his digital practice fed back into his oil painting, bringing in new light effects and color harmonies.
MAGAZIB was entirely created by Nosseir. 36 iPad drawings, incl. the covers and endpapers.
